An extremely affectionate and playful dog, the pug is both dignified and clown-like. They are confident and sometimes stubborn. However, they also have a pleasant personality and are usually eager to please.
Pugs do well in apartments and small homes. They need exercise each day, but a lively play session or moderate walk is sufficient. It’s important to remember that pugs are not very tolerant to heat and humidity. It’s also normal for them to snore and wheeze.
Their coat doesn’t need a lot of care other than the occasional brushing to remove dead hair. However, their wrinkles must be cleaned and dried each day to avoid skin infections.
