The Pembroke Welsh Corgi is an active dog that’s quick-witted. This breed is fun-loving, willing to please, and a devoted companion. They’re often reserved with strangers and make excellent watchdogs. They’re also excellent with children, although they may sometimes nip at their heels while playing.
Pembroke Welsh Corgis need a significant amount of physical and mental exercise each day. A daily herding session is best, but if this isn’t possible, it’s still fairly easy to meet their needs with a moderate leash walk and off-leash training and play in a safe, fenced-in area.
Despite their thick coats, these dogs require minimal grooming. Brushing them once a week to remove dead hair is typically sufficient.
